General Questions

25 questions

Are Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin the same?

They are all FDA-approved botulinum toxin type A, but they differ in formulation, onset, spread, and dosing, and their units are not interchangeable. None is a knockoff. The right one depends on the treatment area and your provider's plan.

Are peptides FDA-approved?

Most peptides used in peptide therapy are not FDA-approved for those uses. A few are approved for specific conditions. Through 2026 and into 2027 the FDA is reviewing which peptides can be compounded, so the status is actively changing.

Are peptides safe?

It depends on the peptide and how it is used. Some are well studied, and others lack long-term human safety data, which is why peptide therapy belongs with a licensed provider who can screen you and monitor your treatment.

Are your providers licensed?

Absolutely. All Redbud providers hold active medical licenses and advanced certifications in aesthetic medicine. You can view individual credentials on each provider's profile page.

Can I use PCA Skin products alongside my in-office treatments?

Absolutely, your provider will guide you on pairing home care with treatments like peels and facials for the best results.

Do I need to keep using Latisse to maintain results?

Yes. Latisse works while you use it; if you stop, lashes gradually return to their original appearance over a few weeks.

Do wrinkles get worse if you stop Botox?

No. There is no rebound effect. When the treatment wears off, your muscles return to their baseline and the lines look as they did before. They can seem more noticeable by contrast after months of being smoother, but they do not get worse.

Do you offer financing?

Yes! We accept CareCredit and Cherry financing to help make treatments more accessible. We also offer membership packages with monthly savings.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes, we offer virtual consultations for certain services including weight loss, hormone therapy, and treatment planning. Contact us to schedule.

How are peptides taken?

Depending on the peptide, they may be given as injections, or in some cases as creams, capsules, or nasal sprays. Your provider chooses the form based on the peptide and your plan.

How long does Botox take to work, and how long does it last?

It usually starts working within a few days, with full results around two weeks. For most people it lasts about three to four months before gradually wearing off.

How long until I see results with SkinMedica?

Many people see improvements in tone, texture, and hydration within 6–12 weeks of consistent daily use.

How soon will I see results from Latisse?

Most people notice longer, fuller lashes within 4–8 weeks, with full results around 16 weeks of nightly use.

Is Botox safe?

In cosmetic doses, Botox has a long safety record and is FDA-approved. The American Academy of Dermatology considers it safe when injected by a qualified provider. As with any medical treatment it has risks, which is why it belongs with a trained, licensed injector.

Is there any downtime after treatments?

Downtime varies by treatment. Injectables like Botox typically have no downtime, while laser treatments may require 3–7 days of recovery. Your provider will discuss what to expect during your consultation.
